Restech Norway A/S manufactures the Pneumatic Line Thrower (PLT) that can be used as a rescue unit as well as for mooring and boat to boat connection. The system uses 3000 psi compressed air as a driving force, thus producing no flames or sparks during use. This feature makes it especially well suited for gas and oil environments. The PLT series also offers a longer life span than a pyrotechnical line, requires no decommissioning costs and the lines are re-usable; a great advantage to cost savings.
